Day Tripper

There’s more to life…

Life can get a bit mundane sometimes. Work, eat, sleep, repeat…

What if you could go on an adventure each week. This would break things up a bit, give yourself some head space time. Also it can be great exercise, and can get you fit mentally, physically and spiritually.

You just need to take the first step. What is  possible depends on your own circumstances. Some people can manage a couple of hours a week, others may do a whole day or a night.

There are the same number of hours in the week for all of us, but it comes down to choosing priorities.

I started by going out early Saturday morning hiking. It makes your weekend feel longer and doing something different also gives you something to look forward to after a busy week. You can still be back with family at lunchtime. Or you can take family with you, if you can get them out of bed early.

Life is too short to not make new memories and enjoy new experiences.

I started this journey in January 2020 just before lockdown. Even without breaking rules I made so many memories and had so many new experiences.

In fact 2020 was the most active I have ever been outdoors.

So what are you waiting for? What is stopping you?

Why not check out some ideas on this site. Some may seem a bit extreme right now but your confidence increases with more experience.

Why not do a short walk first, maybe then taking on a long distance footpath in smaller stages. Who knows before long you could be wild camping in the wilderness?
